Through Our Eyes: Young Migrant Women’s Experiences in the EU
In the context of the “Through Our Eyes” exhibition, presented by the European Network of Migrant Women, a panel discussion will bring together Shamima Oshurbekova and Mina Sadat, authors of the pictures, as well as Sasha Novikova and Egle Puidokaitė. These young migrant women from Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Lithuania will explore the complex challenges migrant women encounter in the EU. Through their personal and professional experiences, they will highlight systemic barriers faced by migrant women, such as difficult access to education and employment, or dealing with motherhood, bureaucracy, and male violence. The panellists will share their concrete visions and recommendations for a European society where substantive equality is achieved for all women and girls, including migrants and refugees.
