Geraldine Barry is an experienced manager and adviser with long-standing experience of working at the evidence for policy interface at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. She has a background in innovation, communication and knowledge management, and has previously led units on intellectual property and technology transfer and on communication at the JRC.

Geraldine is currently Equality Coordinator at the Joint Research Centre where the role combines defining and implementing a strategy for improving equality internally within the JRC, and in enhancing the consideration of equality across the JRC’s research work. 

Her external interests involve advocating for gender parity in public life, in particular as a founding member of the Brussels arm of Women for Election.
