This landmark session will provide the situational backdrop for all discussions at the Forum. We will present the latest evidence on where the EU and Member States stand on their path to gender equality. Experts will identify the gaps and gains by assessing the key trends emerging from the results.
Live illustrator Zsofi Lang will produce an interactive illustrated mural on day 1 of the Forum. The goal is to actively involve participants and visualise their personal commitment to the cause of gender equality in the present and future. Zsofi will do this by asking participants to provide suggestions and ideas related to the subject and paint those live on a large-scale mural.

In two rounds of discussions based on the core thematic strands, we kick off the second Gender Equality Forum 2024!
