Julia, who trained as a midwife, worked for nearly three years at the CHU Saint Pierre in Brussels before turning to caring for patients at home. She has always been keen to integrate her feminist values into her profession. After a year specialising in Community Health, she became more interested in the voluntary sector. She then joined the GAMS Belgium team to complete the midwifery department. Alongside her work at GAMS, she works as a project manager at Femmes et Santé asbl as well as a freelance midwife and is also doing a Masters in Sociology and Anthropology at UCL.
