Dr. Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou is the President of GREVIO which is the Council of Europe monitoring body established by the Istanbul Convention. She works as a legal consultant, providing legal services on human rights issues with emphasis on women’s and children’s rights and has participated in numerous projects and activities of the Council of Europe, the Academy of European Law (ERA), National Schools of Judges and Bar Associations. She is currently a Board member of the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights, and has served in the past as member of the Consultative Board of the CoE HELP Network and Chair of the CoE Steering Committee for the Rights of the Child. She holds four Master’s Degrees, a PhD and has around 50 publications in Greek, English and French.
