Martin Speer is a Berlin-based author, advisor, and speaker with a background in economics. He is one half of the duo HERR & SPEER, a team dedicated to promoting gender equality, advancing male allyship, and fostering a united Europe alongside his co-founder, Vincent-Immanuel Herr.
HERR & SPEER are HeForShe Catalysts for UN Women Germany and were appointed to the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council in 2022. They work with companies, public institutions, and leaders across politics and business to drive gender equity and create future-oriented environments. Their articles have been published in leading media outlets such as Spiegel, Zeit, NZZ, and The Washington Post, and they are the authors of several books.
In 2014, they co-created the DiscoverEU initiative, now part of the Erasmus program, which has enabled hundreds of thousands of young people to explore Europe.
