Penelope Harrison
Diana Award winner
Pronouns: She/her
Penelope began her advocacy career at the age of five, after having been banned from attending school because she began needing a wheelchair. In the years that followed, she became one of the youngest ever invitees to a national parliament and recipient of the coveted Diana Award. Most importantly to her however, she is the first ever wheelchair user to be admitted to the dual degree in English and French Law offered by the University of Leicester and the University of Strasbourg. Currently studying a master's degree in Human Rights Law at the latter, Penelope is well-versed on the practicalities of intersectionality within policy-making. She is always keen to share this passion with others.
