It describes a society where violence is seen as sexy and sexuality as violent. Manifestations of a rape culture include instances of sexual violence that range from sexual remarks to sexual touching to rape, as well as condoning such violence against women and presenting it as normal. The term may also be used in relation to certain groups or settings, like war rape or prison rape.
